TRANSCRIPTIONIST REQUIREMENTS

Our clients are demanding, and rightfully so. Therefore, we carefully screen transcription candidates to select only the elite few who thoroughly delight in this profession.

We consider working with medical transcriptionists only if they meet all of the following criteria:

• They are committed to being accurate historians for each patient to help facilitate the most appropriate and effective medical care.

• They make it their mission to protect our doctors from lawsuits and insurance challenges by catching the inadvertent discrepancies or omissions that are unavoidable by hardworking physicians.

• They recognize their duty to ensure the highest possible compensation with complete and consistent documents that endure insurance claim reviews.

• They go beyond merely typing and utilize their critical thinking skills to ensure that everything being typed makes sense.

• They conspicuously demonstrate an affinity for the technical aspects of language as well as the abstract concepts of context.

• They enjoy following the process of solving medical mysteries that is inherent in internal medicine.

• They thrive on intellectual endeavors and continuously strive to expand their knowledge.

Do we work with recent graduates who have no experience? You bet we do! We all have to start somewhere, and if a recent graduate demonstrates the above qualities, that medical transcriptionist will be more valuable to us, and ultimately our clients, than any experienced transcriptionist who is not passionate about medical transcription.
